Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, an autonomous body, was formed by the Ministry of Education,Govt. of India, New Delhi in 1962 as per recommendations by the Secondary Education Commission, which was implemented in 1963. Ono experimental basis, 20regimental schools were taken over and converted into central school, with the idea of common syllabus and medium of instruction throughout the country. It proved as a boon for the children of central/ state govt.employees and Defence personnel who are frequently deployed to other stations. To add to this the children of non-transferable employed and other floating population are also accommodated after taking care of eligible candidates on the priority basis. <

Kendriya Vidyalaya 39GTC,came into existence in 1981 amidst the benign natural surroundings of 39GTC(Gorkha Training Centre) premises. Away from the chaos of city life, the peaceful surrounding help students to concentrate on studies.Being one of the problems and challenges of teaching and learning process. <

Presently, the Vidyalaya with the strength of 2000 students appear from class I to class xll(4section each )with the commerce,science and Arts stream is running into triple-storeyed building. More then seventy efficient and talented staff member comprising –teaching and non-teaching are whole heartedly devoted in the multifaceted growth of the children under the able guidance of the seasoned principal<
